92 pts. Good bright medium ruby. Superripe, slightly roasted aromas of musky black raspberry, tobacco and licorice. Lush, thick and quite sweet, but with intriguing violet lift to the aromas of black raspberry and violet. Not showing as much energy as the Bramare Marchiori Vineyard Malbec but this is even larger-scaled wine. Finishes seamless and sweet, with substantial building, dusty tannins and notes of dark chocolate and cola. This may go on for years but it's certainly accessible right now.
